Super Bowl Recipe #1: "Better Than Sex Cake", or as someone at the party said it should be called... "Better Than Sex But Not Quite As Good As a Threesome Cake". Haha. I suppose that's all up to your own opinion, but it is pretty damn good!!!
INGREDIENTS
•1 German chocolate or other chocolate cake, baked, 13x9x2-inch
•3/4 cup caramel topping
•3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
•6 chocolate covered toffee bars
•1 (12oz) tub of frozen whipped topping, thawed
I've used German Chocolate cake mix before, but this time I tried this Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge cake mix and it was AMAZINGLY good with the recipe, and I'd definitely recommend it!
Once cake is baked, do not remove cake from pan. After the cake has cooled, make holes in the entire top of the cake using a large fork or the handle of a wooden spoon (I used a martini stirrer).
Pour (one at a time) caramel and condensed milk over the top of the cake and let each flavor soak in before adding the next. I didn't use NEARLY as much condensed milk as the recipe called for, and it was plenty. I probably only used 1/4 of a small can.
Crush the candy bars and sprinkle about half, or as much as desired, on the top.
Frost the cake with the whipped topping and use the remaining toffee bars to decorate the top, and drizzle with caramel if desired.
Try to keep your hands off of this great cake before serving! If making ahead of time, or if you have left overs, make sure to refrigerate it when you're not using it!
